We provide abnormal load escorts, using our Police Accredited Traffic Officers (PATOs) and Chapter 8 complaint liveried motorcycles.
For longer distance or complex escorts, our motorcycle unit will pilot the convoy with additional resources controlling junctions ahead.
This provides a smooth route through complex and congested areas, whilst not impacting on policing resources.
Our experienced ex-police traffic officers plan each routing in conjunction with our client’s and the local police and highways abnormal load planning officers.
VIP / High Risk Escorts
Our motorcycle unit also provide escorts where there is a security risk to the convoy or a critical need to ensure they arrive on time.
This role sees our team escorting coaches for major sports tournament teams through to high profile music artists and high risk operations.
Each task is planned by our ex-police traffic officers in conjunction with the local police force(s) for the journey, providing both primary and secondary routes.
National Traffic Control Centre
Our National Traffic Control Centre (NTCC) has full direct radio communication with every PATO through our secure national radio network.
Based in our Belfast head office, the NTCC remotely monitors their position through our vehicle and radio tracking.
This allows our staff to monitor each task in live time and notify of any problems, such as road traffic collisions or traffic delays.
